Carsten Cullmann

Carsten Cullmann ( born March 5, 1976 in Cologne ) is a former German football player.

Career

The right-back, which was also used in central defense, played on his youth in Cologne southeast for the club sports association Porz until he as then 20- year-old joined the 1st FC Cologne in the 1996/97 season.

After two years in Cologne's amateur team he managed in the return series of the season 1998/99 the breakthrough into the first team that played in the 2nd Bundesliga. After another season and the associated promotion to the Bundesliga he played his first two seasons in the top flight, but resulted in renewed descent.

This was followed by a re- season as a regular player with the direct resurgence. In the subsequent relegation 2003/04 season he was only 15 appearances, and he had, however, with 25 games in the immediate resurgence of season 2004/ 05, its now the third ascent with the same club, again contributed significantly to the success.

Since the 2007/ 08 season Cullmann was mainly active as a player on the second team of the 1st FC Cologne, was as a standby footballer but still the professional team at. In the 2009/10 season Cullmann got the return match against 1899 Hoffenheim for the first time since the 33rd matchday of the 2006/07 season the opportunity aground for the professional squad.

Cullmann is the son of former international and long-time player of the 1st FC Cologne in the 1970s, Bernd Cullmann.

From 2011 to 30 June 2013 was Cullmann - for two years - assistant coach of the U21, then head coach of the U15 of the 1st FC Cologne.
