Carsten Lichtlein (* November 4, 1980 in Würzburg ) is a German handball goalkeeper who plays for VfL Gummersbach. He is 2.02 m tall and weighs 100 kg. He plays for the German national handball team and has been contested 175 matches and has achieved a goal. His international debut he gave on 27 November 2001 in Aichwald the game against Austria. For the world title in 2007 he was awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf.
