Carsten Nielsen

Carsten Nielsen ( born August 12, 1955 in Lyngby ) is a former Danish football player.

Carsten Nielsen joined the 1976/77 season by the Danish club B 1903 Copenhagen for the German champions to Mönchengladbach. In his first season, he played only one game for Borussia. Over the next four seasons, he has always been one of the squad and scored, in midfield or storm, in his further 108 league games 23 goals for Borussia.

During his five years at Borussia he was once a German champion (1977 ) and once UEFA Cup winner (1979). After that, he still played in France, in Switzerland ( at Neuchâtel Xamax he met his former Borussia player Uli Stielike again) and in his native Denmark.
