Carsten Schneider

Carsten Schneider ( born January 23, 1976 in Erfurt ) is a German politician ( SPD). He was 2005-2013 budget spokesman of the SPD parliamentary group. Since December 13, 2013 he is Deputy Chairman of the Group.

Life and career

After graduation in 1994 at Johann Wilhelm Hassler -Gymnasium in Erfurt Schneider served an apprenticeship at the Volksbank eG Erfurt, which he finished in 1997 as a bank clerk. Subsequently, he served until 1998 from his community service and was then hired as a banker at the Sparkasse Erfurt.

Carsten Schneider has been married since 2003 and has two daughters.

Party

Schneider joined the SPD in 1995 and was also a member of the Young Socialists, whose deputy chairman in Thuringia he was from 1996 to 1998.

Member of Parliament

1998 Schneider was the youngest member at that time a member of the German Bundestag. After he was from 2002 to 2005 each deputy speaker of the Group's Working Group "household" and the Regional Group Thuringia in the SPD parliamentary group, in 2005 he was speaker of both groups in November. He belongs to the network in Berlin and the spokespersons of the Seeheim circle.

Carsten Schneider in 1998 and 2002 as a directly elected representative of the constituency of Erfurt and 2005 for the constituency of Erfurt - Weimar selected country II in the Bundestag - Weimar. In the federal elections of 2009 and 2013 he drew a respectively over the national list to parliament in 2013 as the leading candidate of his party in Thuringia.

Since January 2014 he has been Chairman of the Coordination Committee of the German Parliament, the approved funding from the Intelligence Service of the Federal Republic and its expenditure controls.
