Carter Bays

Carter Bays ( born August 12, 1975 in Shaker Heights, Ohio) is an American screenwriter and television producer. Together with Craig Thomas, he created the American sitcom How I Met Your Mother, whose characters represent Ted, Marshall and Lilly, Craig Thomas, Bays and even his wife.

Career

Bays greatest success is How I Met Your Mother. Along with Thomas, he created the sitcom and produced it in too. Bays and Thomas are also instrumental in the design of scenarios. In 2012 he won with How I Met Your Mother a People's Choice Award for best sitcom. In addition, Bays was also involved in other television shows such as Late Night with David Letterman, Oliver Beene and American Dad.

Bays is also a guitarist and singer of the band The Solids whose song Hey Beautiful is the title song from How I Met Your Mother.

Private life

Bays lives with his wife Denise Cox in Los Angeles. They have two daughters together. Bays studied until 1997 at Wesleyan University.
