The Carter - Finley Stadium is a football stadium on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. It serves as the venue for home games of the college teams North Carolina State Wolfpack. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000 and was sold in 2000 at every home game of the NCS Wolfpack.

History

The stadium was built in 1966 to replace the old Riddick Stadium. It was originally named Carter Stadium, donated in honor of Harry C. & Wilbert J. "Nick" Carter, the large amounts of the stadium. Later still the name of Albert E. Finley, another major donor to the university, added.

Before the season 2001/ 02, the University began to modernize the stadium. Among other things, the Tribune was closed at the southern end zone with additional seats. In the following seasons, there were still several enhancements and also two video screens were installed in the two corners of the south end zone. In 2006, the stadium reached its current capacity of 60,000.

Events

In addition to the football games already several concerts stage took place in the Carter - Finley. The Rolling Stones gave a concert in 1989 and 4 October 2009 U2 came on here.
