Carton flow

Flow racks are racks which can be fitted by a shelf side with goods in containers or on pallets, while the previously stored goods can be removed again from the other side.

The stored material is brought by machines or people to the storage space and moves from there using one of drive components or by gravity on runways independently within the shelf to the takeoff point.

This dynamic bearing system operates according to the FIFO ( first in, first out) and thus, a high land use, an optimum degree, an independent storage and removal. This shelf system is also well suited for picking products. Thus, a flow rack increase picking efficiency ( amount per hour ) according to the " goods to man " principle.

Among other things, roller conveyors or idlers are used to drive motors as drive elements, without drive gravity conveyors such as roller conveyor, ball track or rail track are used. Flow racks are particularly suitable for large quantities per item with a small assortment size.
