Cartwheel (gymnastics)
The Cartwheel (also: handspring sideways) is an acrobatic gymnastic exercise. He is a sideways rollover executed, with hands and feet in each case greater distance on an imaginary or existing line (use eg balance beam ). A cartwheel is like a wheel, but a cartwheel is executed with greater momentum and the feet are "beaten" in the air together. If one then rotates even by 90 degrees, it is Radwende or " round- off".
Different variations in the implementation:
- Dynamic: The gymnast takes off and lets himself fall sideways on the outstretched hands. The body then turns with outstretched legs around its midsection like a somersault, the previously taken enough momentum from, to bring the wheeler back in the booth.
- Static: Without start to increase, the wheel gymnastics from the lunge ( the momentum is sufficient). The wheel is just stoned and just above the bottom of the upper body is turned and finished on the hand stand with her legs spread the movement sequence.
