Cary Mullen

Lee Cary Mullen ( born October 12, 1969 in Banff ) is a former Canadian alpine skier.

Mullen surprised the first time in the 1992/93 season, when he finished 4th place in the downhill of Whistler and in the following race in the Sierra Nevada was followed by a 7th place. Even before he took a seventh place at the World Ski Championships 1993 in Morioka. And with the 6th place in the Super G in Kvitfjell he placed in the middle of the world rankings.

In the 1993/94 season he had to in the departure of Saalbach -Hinterglemm even with modest space 2 content ( behind Ed Podivinsky ) before he even reached the 2nd place and 24 hours later the 1st place in the departures of Aspen. In the World Cup he could thus classify ranks 14th of the season.

After the training the exit at the Olympic Games in 1994 in Lillehammer Mullen counted next Kjetil André Aamodt, Marc Girardelli and Luc Alphand of the favorites in the race itself, he retired then, and his compatriot Ed Podivinsky won the Mullen secretly hoped medal.

In the following winters Mullen could - also due to various injuries - never to repeat these results, so that he resigned in 1999.
