Casaluce

Casaluce is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,067 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located approximately 13.5 kilometers southwest of Caserta, about 18 kilometers north- west of Naples.

History

If the area was also formerly been inhabited, yet the fortification of Casaluce from the 11th century is probably the actual starting point of the present-day village. A place called Cronaca Volturnese is said to have existed until at least 964 and may actually go back to a Roman foundation.

In the fascist reign the municipality of the province of Naples was slammed. After the war she was reassigned to the province of Caserta.

Traffic

Due to the community run the Strada Statale 7 bis ( variant) di Terra di Lavoro and the provincial road 335 downgraded Strda Statale dei Ponti della Valle 265.
