Casapueblo

Casa Pueblo is the home of the famous Uruguayan artist Carlos Páez Vilaró.

This extravagant, and decorated in the style of Mediterranean architecture building building contains a museum and an art gallery. It is located near Punta del Este in Punta Ballena, Uruguay.

The house is a tribute to Carlitos Paéz, the son of the artist, who along with 15 other fellow sufferers, after the crash of Uruguayan Air Force 571 on October 13, 1972, two months survived at the age of 18 years in the snow of the Andes.

Some years ago, also the Hotel Casa Pueblo and the restaurant Las Terrazas were built.
