Cascada

Cascada is a German musical group from the field of electronic dance music. Career

2004-2007: Everytime We Touch

The singer Natalie Horler and producer Manuel Reuter ( aka DJ Manian ) formed the group in Bonn in 2002 under the name Cascade, then named themselves but for legal reasons Cascada (Spanish for waterfall ') around.

The first single Miracle was released in 2004 on vinyl and CD compilations. Songs like Bad Boy, Everytime We Touch, How Do You Do, A Neverending Dream or Ready for Love followed. Also an album ( Everytime We Touch) as well as a remix album ( Everytime We Touch - The Remix ) have been released on CD. The breakthrough came Cascada two years later.

With Everytime We Touch, a cover version of Maggie Reilly, Cascada went into the top ten of the U.S. charts on 21 February 2006. After 31 weeks on the Hot 100 Everytime We Touch was, for nearly two million copies sold, awarded double platinum. In August 2006, Cascada then reached number two on the UK charts and number one in Ireland. In Sweden Cascadas song was awarded double platinum and is one of the most successful songs of the Swedish chart history. On 5 January 2007, the single was released in Germany on the record company Universal and then came here in the top ten. The album Everytime We Touch was released again in February 2007 and achieved rank 50 in Germany.

In spring 2007, followed by the single Truly Madly Deeply, a cover version of the band Savage Garden. 2007-2008: Perfect Day

On 14 December 2007 Cascada released their second album, Perfect Day. The second single from the album was What Do You Want from Me? . In summer 2008, the cover of Because the Night followed. Faded and Perfect Day appeared as the fourth and fifth single in the U.S. only. Apart from What Hurts the Most no single release from the album was successful. After about 23 months of the first publication of What Hurts the Most on 28 October 2009 was awarded in the U.S. with gold. The album Perfect Day was honored in the UK with platinum for more than 300,000 copies sold.

2009-2010: Evacuate the Dancefloor

The third album of the dance trio, Evacuate the Dancefloor, was released on 6 July 2009 initially only in the UK, where it got in at number eight. It covers pop, house, r'n'b to dance, but does not cover versions as on previous albums. On 17 July 2009 the album in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, was released and reached number 21 on the German album charts, with which it became the most successful album of the band in their home country. In Austria, the album managed to debut at No. 17 and in Switzerland at number 43 of the charts.

Cascadas Single Fever went into the charts in Australia and New Zealand in January 2010. The band rose with this song for the fifth time in the top ten in France.

The song Pyromania had clicked on February 17, 2010 premiere on YouTube and was in the first two days, almost 50,000 times. In addition to the chart entrances in Germany, Austria, the UK, Bulgaria and the Netherlands succeeded in the formation again to achieve success outside of Europe. Natalie Horler announced that they are working on a fourth album in 2011. Due to health problems of Natalie Horler all appearances were canceled until early 2011 in November 2010.

2010-2013: Original Me and other projects

2011 Cascada came back with a new single and their fourth album. In March 2011, the video for the new single was San Francisco in Toronto, Canada, rotated. Directed by Lisa Mann, in this case, which, inter alia, has worked with Britney Spears, and choreographer Luther Brown was the dancers.
