Caseros Department

The Departamento Caseros is in the west of the province of Santa Fe in the center of Argentina and is one of 19 administrative units in the province.

It is bordered on the north by the departments Belgrano and Iriondo, on the east by the department of San Lorenzo, on the south by the departments Constitución and General López and to the west by the province of Córdoba.

The capital of the department Caseros is Casilda.

Population

According to estimates by the INDEC, the population increased from 79 096 inhabitants (2001) to 86,082 inhabitants in 2005.
