Casey Jacobsen

Casey Gardner Jacobsen ( born March 19, 1981 in Glendora, California) is an American professional basketball player and plays as a shooting guard or even as a small forward.

The 33 -year-old has both experience in the NBA and in European basketball scene. College basketball, he played for Stanford University, where he scored 1,723 points in three seasons - the third-highest score in school history. In addition, he is in the leaderboards Stanford ranked second in three-point transformed throws (222 ), fourth in three-point throw percentage ( 42.7 percent), and he has the sixth-highest average points ( 18.1 per game).

In the 2002 NBA Draft Jacobsen has been selected to 22 out of the Phoenix Suns. In the NBA he played at the clubs Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Hornets and Houston Rockets. During the 2003/ 04 season he had the ninth- best triple throw percentage in the NBA ( 41.7 percent).

In the season 2005/ 06 he helped Tau Vitoria (Liga ACB) in the Final Four of the Euro League.

During the season 2006/ 07 Jacobsen played at the German club Brose Baskets Bamberg, the 2007 German champions were in season 2006 /. Jacobsen was elected MVP of the finals series.

On 24 July 2007 Jacobsen signed a contract with the Memphis Grizzlies. However, this was resolved after a season. In August 2008, Jacobsen signed with the German champion ALBA Berlin a one-year contract.

For the season 2009/2010 Jacobsen moved back to the Brose Baskets Bamberg, where he was not only re- German champion and MVP of the finals series, but also cup winner and thus brought the German Double. For the season 2010/2011 the captain of the Brose Baskets extended for a further year in Bamberg.

After the successful defense of the title and re- double in the 2010/11 season signed a new three- Jacobsen -year contract with the Brose Baskets. Thus he will remain with that team until June 2014.
