Casio ClassPad 300

The ClassPad 300 is a graphics-capable, CAS -enabled, programmable calculator from Casio, the ever possessed one of the first pocket calculator on a touch screen, as he appeared in 2002 on the market ( the Sharp EL- 9650 appeared with touch screen and stylus operation already in the 90s ).

The display is 160x240 pixels. To enter commands or terms are used a soft keypad that can be turned on or hidden as needed. Work when a soft keypad, therefore, reduces the actual usable area for presentations. Functions and 3D plots can be clearly displayed on the display when the In soft keypad.

The ClassPad 300 has several applications ranging from algebra over spreadsheet applications to geometry.

It should be noted that the original ClassPad had a very low-contrast display that is not illuminated. A non-tiring work, if at all, only under very good lighting conditions possible. The protective sheet that comes with the device, reduces the contrast in addition. With a good film, you can avoid this, at least. It was not until the successor model, the ClassPad 300 PLUS received a stronger, albeit heavily reflecting display.

The successor model called ClassPad 330 (launched in 2007), its hardware is completely identical to the previous 300 PLUS, it is only with the operating system version 3.x (instead of 2.x) delivered. The new operating system offers some improvements in ease of use, has new financial functions and dominates Laplace and Fourier transforms. For the old version ClassPad 300 (PLUS ) is a free update is available on the OS version 3.x.
