Casio Exilim

The product range of the Japanese company Casio include digital cameras. This article contains a list of the various models of the series being manufactured. It ranges from the current EX series ( Exilim ) on the camera watches through to set QV series.

Beginning of 2014 it was announced that Casio at least tentatively completely withdraws from the market for digital cameras.

EX- series

EX stands for Exilim.

With the Exilim series Casio rolled the market of compact cameras scratch. Especially the Exilim Card series is characterized by extreme compactness, large displays and an elegant design. There are in the Exilim series product lines such as:

QV Series

In early 1996, Casio launched the QV- series with a different approach than the competition. Conventional digital cameras based on the principle of an analogue camera, there was only a small viewfinder and looked, if anything, the captured photo. Before after tripping on a small screen Casio, however, made it possible to see the image on the display and to use this as a viewfinder.

Not only that was unusual. The optics could be separated from the swivel screen, so that you at any time had the best viewing angle on the display, even if you wanted to take pictures with the normal head height.

WQV series

WQV stands for Wrist Camera Watch.

With the Wrist Camera Watch series ( watches ) cameras Casio finally entered new territory. Long before security guards stood before the question of how industrial espionage can be prevented with mobile phones with photo functions, there was this new development from Casio - probably the smallest disposable cameras in the world.

In addition to the usual functions such as alarm clock and stopwatch you could now snap photos of the wrist for the first time. The quality did not reach the level of the then digital cameras, but at least it was suitable for snapshots.
