Casoria

Casoria is a town with 78 229 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Naples, in the Campania region.

Geography

The town of Casoria is north of Naples. Neighboring towns of Casoria are Afragola, Arzano, Cardito, Casal Nuovo di Napoli, Casavatore, Frattamaggiore, Naples and Volla.

Policy

Stefano Ferrara ( PdL ) was elected in April 2008 to the mayor. However, the left-wing parties were given with 17 of 30 seats, the majority in the City Council.

Demography

Casoria counts 25,094 households. Between 1991 and 2001 the population increased from 79 707 to 81 888 on. This represents a percentage increase of 2.7 %.
