Caspar Mathias Spoo

Caspar Mathias Spoo ( born January 7, 1837 in Echternach, † March 17, 1914 in Esch- sur -Alzette ) was a Luxembourgian industrialist and politician.

From 1896 until his death in 1914 deputy in the Chamber of Députés, he advocated that Members may keep their speeches in Luxembourgish. However, this was only achieved after the end of World War II.

Together with André Duchscher he founded the Société Duchscher Frères et Spoo in alarm clock.

In Esch- sur -Alzette he has it established the Maschinenfabrik & Co. Spoo.
