Casper Ulrich Mortensen ( born December 14, 1989 in Copenhagen, Denmark ) is a Danish handball player.

Career

In the club

Mortensen started playing handball at the age of six years in Frederiksberg IF ( short FIF). As the Dane was 16 years old, he belonged to the squad of the men's team of FCK Håndbold. More play to get the winger finished for the season 2007/ 08 to the second division Ajax Heroes. In summer 2009, he moved to first division side Fredericia HK. After Mortensen in the 2010/11 season despite 98 goals the descent of Fredericia could not prevent him, the Danish first division club Viborg HK took them under contract.

Mortensen developed in Viborg fast for achievers and finished at the end of the regular season 2011/12 with 144 hits ranked second in the scoring charts. At the end of the season Mortensen injured his meniscus, which he could not participate in the play-offs. He then joined the league rivals Bjerringbro - Silkeborg. In his first season at Bjerringbro - Silkeborg he ran in the EHF Champions League on.

In the National Team

Casper Ulrich Mortensen ran initially on the Danish Youth and Junior Women 's National Team. From 2010 he belonged to the squad of the national team. With the Danish selection in 2013, he won the silver medal at the World Championships. At the European Championships in 2014 in his own country, he was Vice-European Champion.

Casper Ulrich Mortensen is dating the Danish journalist Stine Bjerre Jørgensen.
