Cass County (Nebraska)

History

The Cass County was formed in 1854 as one of nine Originalcountys Nebraska. It was named after Lewis Cass (1782-1866), a former Minister of War (1831-1836), Senator (1849-1857) and Secretary of State ( 1857-1860 ).
