Cassius Marcellus Coolidge
Cassius Marcellus Coolidge ( born September 18, 1844 in Antwerp, New York, † January 13, 1934 in New York City, New York) was an American painter. He became known with his suffered because of an advertising campaign of a cigar company painting series " Dogs Playing Poker".
On February 15, 2005, two of his works A Bold Bluff and Waterloo were: Two in the auction house Doyle New York auctioned. The contract was awarded at $ 590,400. This auction proceeds constitutes a record for Coolidge's works
