Castel Campagnano

Castel Campagnano is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1610 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Caserta in Campania. The community is located approximately 15.5 kilometers northeast of Caserta and directly borders the province of Benevento. The Volturno forms the southern and eastern boundary of the municipality. In the Middle Ages the town was still called castrum Campanianum and until 1862 Campagnano.
