Castel Castagna

Castel Castagna is a municipality with 494 inhabitants and is located near Colledara and Tossicia in the Italian province of Teramo. The town is a member of the Comunità Montana Gran Sasso.

Geography

Among the districts ( fractions) include Castagna Vecchia, Ronzano and Villa Ruzzi.

Borders the following municipalities: Basciano, Bisenti, Castelli, Cermignano, Colledara, Isola del Gran Sasso d' Italia and Penna Sant'Andrea.

The municipality is situated approximately 26 km from the capital of the province, the city of Teramo and 38 km from the Adriatic coast.
