Castel di Lama

Castel di Lama ( in the local dialect: La Lama) is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 8690 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Ascoli Piceno in the Marche. The municipality is situated approximately 10 km east-northeast of Ascoli Piceno. The Tronto, the southern boundary of the municipality marks far the natural border between the regions of Abruzzo and Marche.

Traffic

Through the villages leads among other things, the Strada Statale 4 Via Salaria in Rome and Lazio coming over to Porto d' Ascoli Piceno Ascoli on the Adriatic Sea. South of the village is almost parallel to Strada Statal 4 expressway Raccordo Autostradale 11 of Ascoli Piceno towards the sea.

With the community Offida there is a breakpoint on the non-electrified railway line from Ascoli Piceno to San Benedetto del Tronto / Porto d' Ascoli.
