Castel Mella
Castel Mella is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 10,987 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 8 kilometers south-west of Brescia at the Mella.
History
The place is, as the name suggests, a fortification back, which was built as a castrum novum in the Middle Ages. By 1864, because of the place name was also Castelnuovo (as Castelnuovo con Colorno e Onzato or Castelnuovo Mella).

Passing through the municipality on the north- western edge of the former State Road 235 di Orzinuovi (since 2001 Provincial Road ) of Crema to Brescia.
