Castel Baldo is a Northeast Italian municipality ( comune ) with 1625 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the Province of Padua in Veneto. The community is located about 45 kilometers southwest of Padua on the Adige and borders the provinces of Rovigo and Verona. The small river Fratta forms the northern boundary of the municipality.
1292 was the municipality with the construction of a castle. In the " League of Castel Baldo " several northern Italian princely families banded together against the Papal States and the Czech Republic. In 1694 the castle was razed to the Venetian Republic.
