Castiglione Tinella

Castiglione Tinella is a municipality with 892 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the Italian province of Cuneo (CN ), Region Piedmont.

The municipality consists of the villages Balbi, Martino, San Martino and Sanctuary. Neighboring municipalities are Calosso, castagnole delle lance Coazzolo, Costigliole d' Asti and Santo Stefano Belbo.

Specialty

In Castiglione Tinella vines for the Dolcetto d' Alba, a red wine are grown with DOC status. The berries of the grape varieties Pinot Noir and / or Chardonnay may be processed for sparkling wine Alta Langa. The Muscat grape for the Asti Spumante, a sweet DOCG sparkling wine with a low alcohol content and for still wine Moscato d' Asti is also grown here.
