Castinus of Byzantium

Castinus (Greek: Kastinos ) ( † 237) was in the years 230-237 Bishop of Byzantium.

Castinus came from Rome and was originally pagan. The Bishop of Byzantium, I. Cyriacus, then converted him to Christianity. Castinus became his successor in the episcopate. The Episcopal Church of Byzantium was at that time in Galata; Castinus left in his term of office building within the city walls of Byzantine church, which was later dedicated to Saint Euphemia. Castinus was succeeded by Eugenius I.
