Castrignano del Capo
Castrignano del Capo is an Italian municipality with 5368 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located about 65.4 km from the provincial capital Lecce. The site has an area of 20.27 km ² and rises 121 meters above the sea level.

The place name could come from the Latin castrum.
Attractions
In the old town you will find the Chiesa Madre church of San Michele Arcangelo a dedicata. Construction began on 2 April 1743rd A previous building was destroyed by an earthquake in February of the same year.
