Castro Pretorio

Castro Pretorio is the XVIII. Rione (neighborhood ) in Rome. It lies in the east of the city in the area in which extended the Baths of Diocletian.

History

The district takes its name from the barracks of the Praetorian Guard, which was built here from 23 AD.
