Catarrh

A catarrh (also catarrhal inflammation or catarrh; v. ancient Greek καταρρεῖν Qatar rhein = flowing down ) is an inflammation of the mucous membranes, often the respiratory system, which is associated with increased secretion of watery or mucoid secretion.

Colloquially, a catarrh ( catarrh have ) usually another name for a cold in the form of inflammation of the upper respiratory tract, which is a sinusitis ( sinusitis frontalis is also referred to herein as " sinusitis " ), rhinitis, pharyngitis and laryngitis, which often is connected to a bronchitis.

From a corruption of the word, the term of the cat was born with excessive alcohol consumption.
