Catherine Lloyd Burns

Catherine Lloyd Burns ( born April 19, 1961 in New York City, New York ) is an American actress. Burns is known for her lead role of Caroline Miller in the first season of Malcolm in the Middle.

Career

Her debut as an actress in film and television she had in 1991 in an episode of Law & Order. This was followed by other appearances in series such as Party of Five and Emergency Room - The emergency room. In 1998 she got a starring role in the 18- part sitcom Lateline on the side of Al Franken and Sanaa Lathan. In 2000, she was cast in the role of Caroline Miller, the teacher of Malcolm ( Frankie Muniz ), which she starred during the first season. Through this role she became known worldwide. After that, she left the show because of her pregnancy, yet she still had two guest appearances in the second season. Movie roles she played among others in the films The Night We Never Met (1993 ), An Angel for Sam (1995), The Second Civil War (1997) and Keeping the Faith - Keeping the Faith ( 2000).

Burns married the writer and producer Adam Forgash and has with him a child.
