Catherine of Burgundy

Catherine of Burgundy (* 1378, † January 26, 1425 in Dijon ) was the daughter of Duke Philip the Bold of Burgundy and Margaret of Flanders. She was Duchess in the Habsburg foreland.

After their marriage took place in 1393 with the Austrian Duke Leopold IV succeeded Catherine, to win major concessions and to keep her dowry / dowry in your own hands. They resided in Alsace, near their parents' Duchy of Burgundy and built a parallel structure to manage that she encountered and which was under a bailiff. After her death, she was buried in the Charterhouse of Champmol near Dijon.
