Catherine of Hanau

Katharina von Hanau (* January 25, 1408, † September 25, 1460 ) was the eldest daughter of Reinhard II of Hanau, who in 1429 first Count of Hanau, and of Catherine of Nassau- Beilstein († September 6, 1459 ).

Catherine of Hanau was married twice:

After the death of her first husband Catherine led the government as guardian for their minor children still in the county Rieneck. After her remarriage, this task took her brother, Count Reinhard III. of Hanau.

Catherine died on September 25, 1460 at Castle Maßfeld at Meiningen.
