Catholic League

Catholic League stands for different alliances:

Catholic League (1538 ), Alliance of the Holy Roman Empire against the spread of Protestantism in 1538
Catholic League (France), Association of French Catholic nobles during the Wars of Religion in 1576
Catholic League (1609 ), merger of the Catholic principalities in the run-up to the Thirty Years War in 1609

Several initiated by Pope respective mergers, which were directed against enemies of the Roman Catholic Church are sometimes referred to as Catholic League. See Holy League.
