The Catumbela Airport ( IATA: CBT, ICAO: FNCT ) is a August 27, 2012 at the newly opened international airport near the city of Catumbela in the Angolan province of Benguela. It is geographically located exactly between the two major cities of Benguela and Lobito and is considered as an alternative to Luanda airport.

After the Instituto Nacional da Aviação Civil ( INAVIC ) certificate all current aircraft can take off and land there. In addition to domestic flights are also flights abroad, planned to Namibia and Portugal.

The airport has a new passenger terminal, two piers, the able to handle four aircraft simultaneously, in a north / south direction right on the South Atlantic scrim 3,700 meter long runway. The installation cost a total of U.S. $ 250 million and was built by the brasilienischen Odebrecht Group.
