Caucasus Airlines was an airline based in Tbilisi, Georgia. Homebase was the Tbilisi airport. She flew goals in Transcaucasia. In 2004, she closed its doors.

History

The airline was founded in 2001 as Silk Route Airways. 60 % of the shares belonged to the Georgian company Samgori -94. The investors included the US-based Pacific International Holding ( 4.6 million U.S. dollars) and Lockheed -Martin (1 million U.S. dollars). The original name had to be changed from names for legal reasons.

The flight operations began in November 2002. There were served destinations in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia. 2004, the Company has ceased operations.

The Company performed regular flights between Tbilisi and Baku, Tbilisi and Yerevan and Tbilisi and Batumi. My routes have been released, the first exclusively Georgian Airways were available.
