Caution tape

A barrier tape (also warning tape, Trassierband, warning line, flutter rope or barrier tape ) is a usually multi-colored striped or printed plastic tape, which is used for the spatial barrier of use and hazards. Since the barrier tape can easily be damaged or removed and has no retroreflection, it is suitable only for identification or optical guiding in daylight. Effective barriers or guardrails can not be created, so that for example the use in securing excavations in the road space is not allowed with a caution tape.

The industry offers a variety of different color and pattern combinations used for appropriate purposes. The crime scene tape is usually rolled in lengths of 250 or 500 meters on a roll. The width may be between five and eight centimeters so that it is clearly visible in conjunction with signal colors. Depending on the application, the barrier tape can also be provided with an explanatory or warning label that indicates the purpose or organization, such as " Caution", " building site ", " police line " or " forensics ".

Bands in the forestry and hunting

For use in forests and hunting bands of paper are preferred, but are no problems for the environment because they are decomposed in a relatively short time and can be included in the natural cycle. They are usually single color and about 20 mm wide. They are used by hunters as an alternative / replacement to break character. They are quite striking as a break character, but not customs- righteous.
