Cavalera Conspiracy

Cavalera Conspiracy (formerly Inflikted ) is a Brazilian Death and Thrash Metal band.

History

The band consists of the brothers Max and Igor Cavalera, who have already played in the band they founded Sepultura together. As of a dispute over the contract extension of the former band manager and wife of Max in 1996 - Gloria Cavalera - came, Max got out of the band. Through their new band Cavalera Conspiracy Cavalera brothers find now back together musically. Other band members are Joe Duplantier - also a member of the band Gojira - and Marc Rizzo of Soulfly.

For legal reasons the band name of Inflikted in Cavalera Conspiracy was changed. Now say the first album, which was released on March 24, 2008 to Roadrunner Records, Inflikted. The album, which will also have hardcore punk influences, according to Max Cavalera was recorded in July 2007. A guest appearance on this characteristic Rex Brown, bassist of Pantera and Down.

The first concert of the band took place in Tempe in the U.S. state of Arizona on August 31, 2007. In the summer of 2008 took an extensive tour with visits taking place in Europe and North America. Since Joe Duplantier has enough to do with Gojira played Johny Chow all live performances for him.

Chow played also the second album Blunt Force Trauma, which was released in March 2011.

For 2014, an album is planned on the plays Nate Newton of Converge bass.
