Caxambu is a city in the state of Minas Gerais in Brazil. It has 23 483 inhabitants ( as of 2004) and is located in the Mantiqueria Mountains at an altitude of 904 meters.

Healing springs

The name comes from the language Caxambu the Tupi word meaning " water with bubbles ." The city is known for its thermal springs and mineral baths. The mineral water is sold throughout Brazil and to Florida. The Mineral Park of Caxambu one of the largest in the world. Of the twelve mineral water fountain with a medical effect provide eleven gas-containing water.
