Cayo Lara

Cayo Lara Moya ( born January 29, 1952 in Argamasilla de Alba ) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Comunista de España ( PCE) and head of the Izquierda Unida Party Alliance (IU ).

Life

The age of 13 he left school to help his father, a haulier. After returning from military service, he was at the age of 23 years, farmer. Lara was 1987-1999 mayor of his hometown. Since 2000 he is the successor of Gaspar Llamazares Coordinador general Izquierda Unida in the Castilla -La Mancha

In September 2011 he was selected as the top candidate for the office of Prime Minister for the Spanish parliamentary elections on 20 November 2011.
