CB Ademar León

CB Ademar León (Club Balonmano Ademar León ) is a Spanish handball club from Leon.

History

The club was founded in 1956 and has since become the flagship of Club León. In 1975, the team was promoted to the first division. 1995/96 the team played for the first time in the European Cup ( City Cup). In the 1996/97 season Ademar was runner-up and played in 1997/98 for the first time in the EHF Champions League. 1999 and 2005 brought the team as the first international title twice the European Cup Winners' Cup; Ademar León in 2007 lost the final of this competition against HSV Hamburg.

Between Ademar Leon and BM Valladolid there is a pronounced local rivalry.
