CB90-class fast assault craft

Combat Boat 90 ( CB90 ), German: " Combat Boot 90 " is the international designation of an originally developed for the Swedish Navy speedboat class. The battle boats of this class include characterized by an extremely high mobility. The official name of the Swedish Navy was Strb 90 H ( Swedish for: Stridsbåt 1990 Halv pluton, German about: fighting boat 1990 for a half-move ).

Manufacturer

Manufacturer is founded in 1905, Swedish Dockstavarvet shipyard. She produced since 1991 up to now about 250 to 300 pieces. The CB90 is the main product of this shipyard. In 2000 Dockstavarvet also took Rindö, the main repair company for the Swedish CB90.

2013 was supported by the Russian Pella Shipyard near St. Petersburg, the Russian battle boat 03160 "Raptor" designed so that the CB is strikingly similar. However, there is no evidence whether Dockstavarvet was involved in the project and has granted a license to the Pella Shipyard.

Specifications

The boats are wide over all 15,90 meter long (on the waterline 14.90 meters) and 3.80 meters. They are built by aluminum very light, compact and flat. Use in Germany

The CB90HEX came to Germany for the first time in the context of Bush 's visit in 2006 in Heiligendamm used. A further application was made at the G8 summit in 2007. The water police Mecklenburg- Vorpommern had borrowed a boat from the Swedish shipyard for the occasion. It has been used on 7 June 2007 against Greenpeace activists who had entered with seven rubber boats from the sea in the security zone around the venue.
