CCM (ice hockey)

CCM (originally for: Canada Cycle & Motor Co. Ltd. ) is a leading manufacturer of ice hockey and inline skating products. This is also an eponymous bicycle brand emerged that continues today as a bicycle product line from Canadian Tire.

History

CCM was founded in September 1899 in Weston (Ontario), Canada. First, the company concentrated on the production of bicycles. In 1905, the Canadian bicycle market was saturated, the operation skates and accessories began to manufacture.

In the 1970s, the company ran into financial difficulties and filed for bankruptcy in 1983. Then the Hockey division and the bicycle division was separated, the latter was sold to the Procycle Group and has since been trading as CCM motorcycle. Skates
