CcMixter

CcMixter.org is a music community website that advertises the remix culture. In their samples, remixes and a cappella tracks are available for download and for further use in their own works available under a Creative Commons. Based on these soundtracks plants can in turn be uploaded and presented to the visitors. Stand November 13, 2011, more than 6,000 samples and 3,000 A Capellas and over 15,000 remixes be downloaded, including sound tracks of Beastie Boys and David Byrne.

The site was originally launched as a project of Creative Commons and handed over to ArtisTech Media, a company under the leadership of some ccMixter members in October 2009. As a platform ccHost is used.
