ÄŒD Class 810

The railcars of Class M 152.0 (from 1988: Series 810) of the Czechoslovak State Railways ( ČSD ) are biaxial DMUs for regional transport. The vehicles are the third generation two-axle railcar ČSD.

History

In 1973 the first prototype of the series was presented as M 151.0001 of Vagonka Tatra in Studénka. Beginning in 1975, then emerged in seven model series 680 vehicles for the ČSD as Series M 152.0. Matching the appropriate railcar trailers were delivered, which are identical to the railcar in construction and appearance. Due to the angular constructions, the railcar railway enthusiasts got the nickname " lunch box ".

For the cross-border transport personnel by Chop ( Чоп ) in Ukraine two vehicles of the series from 1982 received a 1520 mm ( Soviet broad-gauge ). These were numbered M 152.5001 and 5002nd

Identical vehicles were also supplied to the Hungarian State Railways ( MÁV ). This means the railcars as Bzmot.

After the division of Czechoslovakia into the successor states Czech Republic and Slovakia on 1 January 1993, the vehicles were allocated to the newly established State Railways ČD and ZSR. In Slovakia, the vehicles are now a stock of the successor company Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko ( ZSSK ).

Technical Features

In contrast to similar vehicles from other railway administrations, the motor cars were no multiple unit control, and appropriate control car does not exist. This means that in multi-part units of each railcar must be manned by a driver and the vehicles at terminal stations must be converted to the respective Zugspitze always. The only engine type LIAZ ML 634 and the transmission Praga 2M 70 are components that could be taken from the bus manufacturing.

Conversions

Mid-1990s were converted to Series 28 809 units. The changes relate to measures for the schaffner -free operation as well as the interior

Similarly, the mid-1990s were two vehicles rebuilt as a prototype for the series 811. In addition to a re-engining it the interior was renewed.

2001, a vehicle was converted to number 812 and used together with a control cars of the 912. This prototype was designated the " Esmeralda" and was the forerunner of the series 814, with whom he also has external similarities.

Since 2005, the vehicles of ČD by the company PARS Nova be completely modernized and rebuilt in Šumperk. This results in two -piece units, each consisting of a railcar and a partially low-floor control car. Use

The vehicles are approved for traffic to Germany and Austria. In cross-border transport they belonged to the border stations Zittau, Ebersbach (Sachs), Bad Schandau, Johann George Town and Bavarian Eisenstein for daily image. Until the timetable change in December 2006, she came from Znojmo also planned to Retz.
