CDGVAL

The CDGVAL is a driverless metro type VAL, the free shuttle services at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, 25 kilometers northeast of Paris ensures. Two commissioned in 2007 release guidelines from several internal airport bus routes and use an elaborate People Mover infrastructure. Line 1

Line 2

The second line is called LISA ( = Liaison Internal Satellite Aérogare ), and connects to a 950 meters stretch the Terminal 2E with the satellite via the satellite S3 S4 in three minutes. On a trip every 2 minutes 10,000 people can be transported per hour.

History

The originally planned SK -6000 project guided by a cable car line was discontinued after test runs in 1999 were not successful. The plans for CDGVAL were started in 2000, construction work started in 2003. The total cost amounted to € 155 million, the operating costs per year amount to € 4 million.
