Cebiv

Cebiv ( German Zebau ) is a municipality with 272 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 9 kilometers north of Stříbro at an altitude of 471 m asl brook in the valley of Kozolupský and belongs to the Okres Tachov on.

History

The first mention of the place from the year 1115 is considered to be a forgery of the monastery Kladrau because it is both spatially separated from the monastic rule and the development of the town has no relation to the monastery. A document from 1379 mentions Hrděboj as the owner of Cebiv. 1543 was a fortress, which acquired January Drzdéř of Hradek of Jiřík of Zádub. 1603 sold the Drzdéř Cebiv to Jindřich Strojetický of Strojetice whose possession in 1646 came to the intermarried with them counts of Vrtbovská, the combined the reigns Zebau and Křimice. 1657 burned down the Fixed. 1712 acquired Maximilian Charles Albert of Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rochefort Zebau. At the site of Gothic, Renaissance castle masonry Cebiv, a square building with 21 meters on each side, the outer shape has not changed since a recent refurbishment in 1766 the west wing was built.

Zebau became part of the dominion Weseritz, where he remained until the abolition of patrimonial regimes. Gepfarrt was the place after Gosolup. 1901 was the place by the local railway Neuhof- Weseritz a railway connection. 1939 lived 413 people in Zebau.

1945 Prince Löwenstein -Wertheim -Rochefort were expropriated and the castle fell into disrepair since then. In 1993 it was decided to obtain the lock, but no exact date has been mentioned. As before, there is unsecured and unprotected by the shattered window against the effects of wind and weather.

Besides the castle located in the village two baroque statues of St.. John of Nepomuk and the Virgin Mary.

About the Valley of Hadovka, 2 km north-east of Bezemín, the ruins of the castle Gutštejn ( Guttenstein ) rises.
