Cecil Griffiths

Cecil Griffiths ( Cecil Richmond Griffiths, born January 20, 1901 in Worcester, † 29 July 1973 in Great Barrington, Gloucestershire ) was a British athlete who in the early 1920s in the 400 - was successful and 800 -meter run.

Griffiths was twice AAA champion over 880 yard:

At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, he was unable to attend because of illness on the individual race over 400 m. In the British 4 x 400 - meter relay with the British team in the cast Griffiths, Robert Lindsay, John Ainsworth -Davis and Guy Butler, however, he won the gold medal in 3:22,2 minutes ago South Africa ( silver in 3: 24.2 min) and France ( bronze in 3:24,8 minutes).
