Cecima

Cecima is a municipality ( comune ) in the province of Pavia with 233 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the south-western Lombardy in northern Italy. The municipality is situated approximately 38 km south-southwest of Pavia at the Staffora in the Po at Pavese, belongs to the Comunità montana Po at Pavese, bordering on the province of Alessandria (Piedmont).

History

943 the town had been given by the kings and Hugo I. Lothar II to the Bishop of Pavia. In 2009 the Planetarium and Observatory Cà del Monte was opened in the municipal area.

Traffic

Passing through the municipality, the former State Road 461 del Passo Penice (now a provincial road ) from Voghera to Bobbio.
